Egg Pesarattu - Green gram Dosa

About the Recipe

A super easy breakfast option which is tasty and can be made in less than 10 minutes. A high protein dish perfect for your post-workout breakfast. Vegetarians can skip the egg and add crumbled paneer or soya chunks.


1 cup Whole Green Moong

3-4 garlic cloves

1" ginger roughly chopped

1-2 no green chillies (as per your taste)

2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

salt to taste

1 Egg per dosa  

Paneer burji for Vegetaraians (optional)


  • Soak Green moong in water overnight (8-10 hrs) , drain the water and rinse before grinding with garlic,ginger, green chillies, corriander leaves and cumin seeds to a thick batter.

  • Season with salt and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.

  • Pour the batter with a laddle on a hot pan seasoned with cold-pressed coconut oil and cook for 1 min on low flame, then drop an egg in the middle and cook till done. serve with chutney.

  • An excellent post workout breakfast option.
